For families hiring a teacher

Hadi Quran Academy places qualified Quran teachers with families across the United States. Every teacher on our platform is vetted, holds documented qualifications, and follows our safeguarding policy in every class. You choose the teacher, meet them in a free trial class, and receive a written report each month showing what your child has covered. If the fit is not right, request a different teacher and your progress record moves with you.

What our teachers bring to your class

  • Ijazah and formal qualifications

Every teacher on our platform holds documented qualifications in Quran recitation, memorization, or both. Their individual profiles list the ijazah they hold, the institution that issued it, their years of teaching, and the languages they teach in. Browse the full teacher directory before you book.

  • Native or near-native Arabic pronunciation

Correct makharij (the points of articulation for each Arabic letter) is the single hardest part of Quran learning to fix later, which is why every teacher we bring on is assessed on Tajweed pronunciation before joining, regardless of prior qualifications. This is one of the reasons we recommend a good pair of headphones for every class.

  • Trained for teaching children

Teaching a six-year-old is not teaching an adult with a smaller vocabulary. Our children’s teachers are chosen for patience, warmth, and the ability to hold a young student’s attention across a video call. Class length is matched to the age of the child, and lesson pace is set by the student, not by a fixed calendar.

  • Female teachers for female students

Families who prefer or require a female teacher for a female student can request one when booking. Our female Quran teachers page shows available teachers. There is no price difference and no reduction in qualifications.

How we are different from a tutor marketplace

  • A safeguarded platform, not open contact

Every class runs through our booking system. Parents and students are not asked to swap phone numbers or WhatsApp contacts with teachers, and teachers are not permitted to arrange lessons off-platform. Our full safeguarding policy covers teacher screening, identity verification, session rules, and how to report a concern. This is the biggest structural difference between an academy and a marketplace tutor, and it is the reason many families choose us over a cheaper hourly rate elsewhere.

  • Monthly written progress reports

At the end of each month, you receive a written report showing what your student covered, which surahs or rules they worked on, their current fluency level, and what the teacher plans for the coming month. You do not need to read Arabic yourself to know exactly where your child is in their learning.

  • Vetted teachers with published profiles

Every teacher listed on the site has a public profile with their qualifications, teaching background, and the courses they teach. You choose the teacher, not an algorithm. Meet them in a free trial class before you commit to anything.

  • A curriculum, not just tuition

Each of our courses — Noorani Qaida, Nazra, Tajweed, Hifz, Translation, Islamic Studies — has a defined structure and clear completion milestones. A cheaper hourly rate on a marketplace pays for a lesson. A monthly plan with us pays for a plan.

  • Change teachers, keep your progress

If the fit is not right within the first four classes, request a different teacher through your account. Your student’s progress log moves with them, so the new teacher picks up where the last one left off. Nothing is repeated.

What you need to start

  • A laptop, tablet, or phone with a working camera and microphone
  • A stable internet connection (wired or good Wi-Fi is enough)
  • Headphones. These matter more than most parents expect: Tajweed correction depends on the teacher hearing pronunciation clearly and the student hearing the teacher’s model accurately.
  • A copy of the Quran or the Qaida your teacher will use, physical or digital
  • Ten minutes to book a free trial class

How classes are scheduled

Classes are one to one over video, at fixed times you agree with your teacher. Most students take between two and five classes a week. Each class is typically 30 minutes for children under 10, 45 minutes for older children and teenagers, and 45 to 60 minutes for adult learners. Your teacher will recommend a frequency and length after the trial class, based on the student’s age, goals, and school or work schedule.

Progress is reviewed monthly and you receive a written report. Course length depends on the course and the student, not on a fixed calendar.

US time zones covered: Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific. The most popular slots are weekday mornings before school (from 6:00 AM US Eastern) and weekday evenings after school. Weekend mornings also fill quickly. Ramadan slots begin filling from November onward, so families who want to hold their preferred time through February are encouraged to book early.

If your student needs to miss a class, message your teacher at least 24 hours in advance and we will reschedule within the same week where the teacher’s calendar allows.

What families get from a structured programme

  • A written record of your child’s learning

You do not need to read Arabic to know what your child is working on. Monthly reports and a shared class log keep you informed without needing to sit in on every class.

  • A consistent teacher relationship

The same teacher every week, for as long as the fit works. Continuity matters more than any single lesson for children learning to read Arabic script, and it is the biggest single reason parents move to an academy from a rotating tutor marketplace.

  • A schedule that fits US family life

Weekday mornings before school. After-school evenings. Weekend mornings. All four continental US time zones. If your family’s schedule changes each semester, your class time can change with it.

  • A route for adult beginners

Adults who feel they started late learn one to one, at their own pace, without a class of younger students watching. A meaningful share of our students in the USA are adults, many of them parents learning alongside their children.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know your Quran teachers are actually qualified?+

Every teacher’s qualifications are listed on their public profile, including any ijazah they hold, the institution that issued it, their years of teaching, and the languages they teach in. You can review a teacher’s profile before booking and meet them in a free trial class before committing. See the full teacher directory.

Are online Quran classes safe for my child?+

Yes, when the platform is structured for it, and this is one of the main reasons families choose an academy over a private tutor found on a marketplace. All classes at Hadi run through our booking system, teachers are vetted and identity-verified, and parents are not asked to share personal contact details with teachers. Our full safeguarding policy covers screening, session rules, and how to report a concern.

How much do online Quran classes cost per month in the USA?+

Our monthly plans are priced by the number of classes per week and are billed in US dollars with no registration fee. The full breakdown, from two classes a week up to daily classes, is on the fee structure page. You pay after the free trial, not before, and you can pause or cancel at the end of any month.

Can I request a female Quran teacher for my daughter or for myself?+

Yes. Female teachers are available for female students of any age, and can be requested at the trial booking step or by browsing the female Quran teachers page directly. There is no price difference and no reduction in qualifications.

What time zones and hours do you cover in the USA?+

All four continental US time zones: Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific. The most popular slots are weekday mornings before school (from 6:00 AM US Eastern), weekday evenings after school, and weekend mornings. Ramadan slots begin filling in November, so families who want to hold a preferred time through February should book early.

What happens in the free trial class?+

The trial is a real 30-minute class with the teacher you would be booking, not a sales call. The teacher assesses the student’s current level, recommends a starting course, and answers your questions. There is no card required to book, and no obligation to continue if the fit is not right.

Can I change teachers if the fit is not right?+

Yes, and your progress record moves with you. Request a different teacher through your account within the first four classes, and the new teacher receives your student’s log so nothing is repeated. Continuity of learning matters more than continuity of teacher, and we have built the system around that.

Do I need to know Arabic to help my child at home?+

No. Your role at home is to keep the schedule, sit near the class if your child is young, and follow the monthly progress report so you know what to encourage between classes. Reading Arabic yourself is not required. The teacher does the teaching.
